Thanks again to all who signed the petition to open a Off Highway Vehicle and multi-use park as discussed in this thread.. Please sign petition to open Zero Emission OHV park in SJ
Progress is being made. I've given up on San Jose but another city is willing to look at being the local lead for the zero emission OHV park.
Unfortunately it's at a chicken and egg point where funding is needed to jump-start the project to qualify for the grant funding to go further.
I've started a GoFundME page if anyone is interested in helping or sharing here
I'm definitely not doing this to make money. I have an experienced nonprofit leadership team willing to join the nonprofit board including a few fellow barfers. Every penny will be spent on the goal of creating this park.
I'm starting it off with some of my own funds but I've probably spent way more on printer ink, time and traveling to dozens of meeting already over the years anyway, lol.
Please use the other thread to discuss the merits or challenges to the whole idea. If someone feels inclined to check out the GoFundME, so be it. If not, no biggie.
