Brake lever protectors

I am looking to get brake lever and clutch lever protector for my sv650 prod bike. I know that woodcraft makes a set but wanted to know if anyone has installed these on their stock handle bars. I do not run clip-ons and the site says they work better.

Any info would be great, even another brand if they are better for stock handle bars would be great :ride

I think Rizoma makes a set that works for the ends of stock bars, but I could be wrong.

I have the woodcraft lever, using it on their clip-on bars though. I like it, but it is a bit bulky.

Not sure if that helps..

Everett- Ya I saw them on your bike last year and it gave me the idea. I dont see why they wouldnt fit the stock bars.

Eric- That this looks nice but $299 for only one...ouch!

Well Patrick, no where in your OP does it mention you are frugal :laughing But the Dion was the only one that I had on my bike and it was pretty sweet looking so I went with what I know about. :teeth

wait...wut?
as long as there is enough stock bar sticking out or a bar end with the same OD as teh bar you are good to go. I liked the woodcraft one. onlydownside is needing to remove it every time you load the bike with canyon dancers

We used the Dion on our RoadRace Factory Red Bull R6's (#132 Jake Gagne, #95 Jd Beach, #12 Tomas Puerta and #69 Hayden Gillim) and i can tell you they were awesome. Not only did they protect the lever but they did a ton to protect the bike in a low side crash. So much so that we requested them to make us some for the Clutch side. For street riders that may do a little lane splitting i think would be a must. The reason we like the Dion. If you have ever had a high side you know you can get caught by the bike. Used to have this problem with levers before they made the movable. The Dion is one of the few that will not grab you and try and hang on when your getting sent over the top. Yes they take up about 10mm on the clip on and you have to pay attention that is has fairing clearance. A small price to pay for the benefits.

Robin- The simple solution would be if you and Rory could move over and let me by. Then we wouldn't risk any contact...don't need to answer now but at least think about it lol

Sounds like the woodcraft ones will work. I did look at the video for the Dion and they are pretty sweet, would be nice to have once for the clutch side as well.

Easy to make your own if you're cheap. You can get a pair of handlebar mirror mount adapters off ebay for less than $5 w/shipping. Mount to the end of your bars, add 8"mm threaded rod instead of mirrors pointed forward, bend 90 degrees at the end to cover the brake lever and you're done. Make another one with the extra mount, sell it on BARF and make money.....
