Bellypan modification

Ok, so long story short...I sold my '06 GSXR 750 track bike with I believe Sharkskinz fiberglass fairings (unmolested) last year but kept my yosh slip on just in case I got another bike. Well,I did. So I bought a set of fiberglass track fairings from a fellow barfer (not sure on brand) to throw on the new to me '06 GSXR 600. But now the bellypan hits the bottom of the canister of the slip on. I'm sure all mounting points will match up if it weren't for the canister.
I really don't want to cut a hole out of the bottom of the belly pan for the canister, but I'm not seeing another option.
Am I just going to have to bite the bullet and just do it? Or does someone have some magical advice?

Cut a relief and then patch it with fiberglass if you need to keep it track approved. Otherwise if it doesn't need to contain fluids in a track spill then leaving it with a hole is fine.

It'll be used as a track bike. I'm not racing AFM or anything so I won't need it to pass many regulations. I'd like to keep it in tact, but a relief seems like the only option.
And for street bodywork, they don't have a belly pan to catch fluids, so cutting a relief would still pass tech for Trackdays...correct?

A relief hole cut sounds trick (good to me) I'd sure go for it, as a good thing as long as there isn't anyone saying to do different. :thumbup

Well,...I cut a relief hole and everything lines up. Still bummed I had to cut it.
I may take NSR500's advice and patch it later creating a drop down. We'll see.
Thanks for the comments.

No requirement for belly pans except with race orgs.
