I'm on the "couch to 5K" program.

Almost done with it.

Will do my first official 5K for the Santa Run on Guadalupe trail in December.

I think back to my first 5k and I remember times when I though going faster than 10 min/mile were not possible. Since then, I've gotten down into the 7s for a 5k.

This marathon thing is kicking my ass though. I did an 18 mile run this weekend and I can't imagine running another 8 miles...

My daughter won the last few half marathons run in Davis.
Come run with her at the Turkey Trot in November. I'll be riding the GROM around and cheering for you guys!:party:thumbup. After I look up what a blerch is I'll be happy to dress like one if need be.:party

Her half marathons are around 124 to 127. Not bad for a kid with no formal training whatsoever.:cool

This whole thing for me is becoming a case study for marathon training. I try to run too fast, I don't run enough, I didn't start training early enough, I feel like I won't be able to make it, I revert to comma splices.

Right now it's a chore to get the mileage in. Kids, work, AFM, etc. I actually had to buy a dorky headlamp so I can run at night.
