BART: Motorcycle Parking? (Colma/Peninsula Stations)

Silence

No moto specific language on their website of course: http://www.bart.gov/guide/parking

A commute option I'm considering is to ride to a station on the peninsula and take the last leg on BART which would take me right by my work (public transit is subsidized by my company). The Colma station would be pretty convenient since it's right off of 280... Is moto parking even available? (might as well take a car) Is there a better station off the 280? Will my bike be stolen? Thoughts?

Now that we know your bike is going to be unattended..... :laughing

Do a drive by and check out the lot?

I personally have observed there is not at all enough parking at Dublin/Pleasanton BART for when I've needed to do something, while there are many many POTENTIAL spots in the parking garages, that wouldn't interfere with fire control access, places for criminals to hide/homeless to sleep, and otherwise provide additional moto parking.

Technically, I'm sufficiently insured to not give a flying hoot, but I would still be annoyed by being forced to arrange for alternative transportation on the day of. :x :twofinger :laughing

There are motorcycle spots at Hayward and South Hayward BART. I don't know if I would park something flashy in those spaces though.

It's an old spr0tbile that I'm not that attached to. :laughing Speaking of Hayward, I drove through what I think is the downtown area for the first time ever last week on my way to Mammoth when I accidentally took 92 on to city streets. :laughing

Also, doing creeper drive bys at every BART station on the peninsula is not my idea of after work fun. (I figured I'd try to learn from the suffering of others first) :laughing :laughing

Not sure about Colma/Peninsula, but I can confirm that there is moto parking at West Oakland. I would imagine there would be similar spots at other large stations.

Where do you work? If I was you I would just park in the movie theater parking lot next to century 20. It's free and they have security.
