Bar end weights ??

I swapped bars on my mini, it came with bar end weights stock.
After riding it, very high pitch on the bars now, used to be a heavy, slow vibe way up high in revs.
So after shopping in Amazon, this is what I found of different styles, & weights.
Looking for input about the differences of mounting, solid or rubber & weight 2 grams to 2 oz.
Spring tension, vs, internal rubber grip, mounting conflict, any practical use?

bar end weights change the frequency of the vibration waves by the large mass and distance from the clamp

think tuning fork

the big stainless steel ones in upper right ( manic salamander brand ? ) would be my preference

the expanding rubber insert and the expanding metal insert do the same thing - grip the inside diameter of the handlebars

After sleeping on this, I guess it is more of an engineering question, solid metal to metal and let the weight do the work on harmonics.
Rubber to dampen harmonics, that may shift said harmonics to a greater or lesser role, and let the weight work.
Will the spring work as an adjustable damper, and have fine tuning ability?
How will the rubber part work? can it hold against the spring load?
Will it slip before it works?
On something this simple, I must be overthinking this.

You're overthinking it.

The spring thing is totally unnecessary. My experience is that the rubber thing works. So does the internal metal expandy thing. The rubber one isnt as solid and can spin a little, wont fall out tho. The rubber thing will take a set and be difficult to remove if ever you want to. Not impossible though.

The metal style would be my preference, especially if you like bar-end mirrors that clamp to the weight. They do need to be pretty closely matched to the inside diameter of the bar, the rubber style is more forgiving that way

the rubber mount will reduce the change in frequency. it will lower the amplitude some, but theres no telling if it will lower it as much as a solid mount. id guess it won't. my pref is solid mount as id rather have the most possible frequency change.

the spring bar end prob won't do much. I bet its lighter than the other two. also, the spring is in the wrong orientation as bars tend to vibrate up and down.

The rubber slightly decouples the bar end weight and creates a damping effect. If done exactly right you can effectively create a tuned mass damper, and people have tried this with varying degrees of success - as you noticed it just shifts the vibration to somewhere else. w_o = sqrt(k/m), so by adding weight you bring the frequency down.

The best way to reduce vibes would be to decouple the bar at the clamp using bushings. But the simplest solution is to just add the heaviest bar end weights you can and get some thicker grips. I like the Renthal dual compound big version.

I’ve spun lead fishing weights down for bar-ends. At 1-lb apiece, the vibes were non-existent! :)
