Looking to replace my A* setup. Is the Forcefield Sub4 still the most effective with the lowest transfer of energy or has it been surpassed?

The A* Nucleon KR-1 is amazing! Parts Unlimited hooked me up with one for racing, and I cannot believe how comfortable it is. And as I recall, several of the top Moto GP guys are wearing them.
And being a girl, and a little on the "fluffy" side, the adjustability of it is awesome!

The forcefield stuff is great. Talking to the folks are Johnson leather, the sub4 is what you mentioned, but is pretty thick and heavy, hence the extra protection. I preferred the Tpro L2 (CE 2 rated) which was lower profile and also had the kidney protection secured around the belly. I also always wear a hit air vest with that. Crashed twice on the track in that setup, no issues at all.

Helimot's back protectors are awesome....shape is great for being in a tuck.

Your setup sounds like what I'm shooting for. I'm leaning towards the sub 4 because it looks like it'll help my situation with suits.

I'm right between the 50 -52 sizes because I have a small chest but bigger legs. I might just go with the 52 a sub 4 and then tailor if needed.
Any bulk or awkwardness with that airbag?

The Icon comes with a free white t-shirt.

why would you wear a tshirt. Its so much sexier with no shirt.

But knowck it all you want.. Icon is quality gear. Its the people who wear them that give it a bad wrap. Pssst.. I dont own any icon gear.. They cost too much.

Still hits the highest standard...

It's bulky as noted, but it does, with a few sweaty on-track outings, mold nicely to your body.

Yeah, Zooni suits are awesome. So comfortable. Totally worth it to go custom..especially if you already plan on tailoring. And yes its true....I also spent less on mine than a new Rev'it suit I was interested in. In the end, off the rack might cost you more.

Remember to have room in your suit for your sub4 and a chest protector.

After a couple of rides, you barely realize the hitair vest is even there. Its not too tight over your leathers. Doesn't hinder movement at all if installed correctly. I feel weird when I don't wear one. If you are in a tuck on your bike, get the racer vest. I use MLV-c on the street. scotinexcile on this forum owns the company that sells them. http://safermoto.com

My Knox Contour back protector has been great. It's been discontinued but they have newer back protectors in there lineup that should be top notch. I've crashed in it 3 times and it has protected me superbly.
