so i just got my second 929. i found her abandoned and neglected for 3 years.so the funny thing is that the bike is yellow/white, colors that ive never seen before. goggled the colors and nothing came up. not even a single picture of the same colors. any thoughts? tnx.

I’m sure you’ve thought of this, but could the bike have swapped fairings from an all white or yellow bike to get rid of the black parts

Or

Aftermarket paint?

i did think of it, but all the fairings and tank are the same color. the tank has a dent on it and it does not show any other color underneath and the paint job is immaculate.

lets say someone swapped the fairings, where do those fairing came from? ive done a deep search an i just can't find another 929 with the same color scheme. but you might be right, it could be a very very nice professional paint job but why would ypu spent at least 700+ for such an awkward paint job?

Yeah, that's definitely a repainted bike.

For starters:
  • The logo on the tank is wrong
  • there's no displacement callout on the tail
  • the CBR is on the wrong part of the faring

you are right my friend, i crossed check all the little details and came up to the same conclusion. its a paint job, that color scheme does not exist....
which only add more mystery when it comes to the bike, why would you even think of such weird paint job, even the wheels are white. when i got her, she was running on 3 cylinders.
this is my second 929, but there is something weird about this bike. maybe i was just used to the other one....
