Well, after recovering from a wreck a few months back, I can proudly say that I am back on two wheels.
...almost.
I was going to wait for the finished product to show off, but im bored at work on a friday, so here goes.
Last week, I picked up this little gem. 2006 gsxr1000.
The bike is in good mechanical condition, but the previous owner did a good job of washing the bike with a scotch-brite pad. The paint had been worn through to the primer in some areas, and a garage drop had resulted in a punctured left fairing. After evaluating my options, this happened:
There is a bit of final touchups to do, but the sanding & priming should be done by tonight.
Tomorrow should consist of rolling the compressor out to my shed/makeshift paint booth, mixing some paint and laying down some coats.
