I simply don't understand how this can happen. Are people really that absent minded that they just forget? :wtf Last year, 44 children died after being left to roast alive inside their parent's cars. How in the world do you forget a child like that??? Premeditated or not, his guy in Georgia is just one of far too many people who never should have had children.

I am sure it happens more than is reported because the kid doesn't die.

Sleep deprived parents with several children may end up leaving a kid in the car longer than they should.

He (the dad) also visited a site on life without a child and did searches on surviving prison and on "age of consent for Georgia," they said.

When told they were charging him, Harris allegedly responded by saying, "But there's no malicious intent." {someone found a legal website}

Whoops is one thing, HOWEVER in this case the guy is being tried by the press.

If half of what is being shared is not being made up on the spot by investigators because they want to write a book - this fucker needs to secured and basted for a slow roast, in an inefficient solar oven, someplace where they get about an hour of clear sun a day for as long as it takes- turn him into some daddy beef jerky.

Child abuse and pet abuse are two things that really grind my gears. And I am no fan of kids - I realize they're necessary with current technology, but they're not for me.

A CNN female commentator was talking yesterday about how she’s forgotten at times. Her solution since has been to drive with her shoes off and placed them near the kid so when she gets out of the car she has to see the kid to get her shoes.
People with busy lives can overlook anything.

Many of the most recent cases have involved drug use on the part of he parents.

There is a couple currently on trial for intentionally killing their son this way. The cops found individual computer searches by each parent detailing death in hot cars.

There are truly evil people.

Here in Arizona there are daily reports of children or animals left in cars. We even talk about it regularly and openly in the media to remind people how fucking hot it gets in a car in the sun.

There are truly ignorant people in this world.

Kind of my point-those who have never experienced it can't really understand what serious long term sleep deprivation and the like can do.

I'd happily put this guy through the wood chipper though.

Sorry, but if you're willing to have kids, then those kids come first. If ones life is so hectic that you forget your kid in the car, then perhaps ones should re-evaluate their priories.

That dad, who murdered his kid, could have just as easily have put the child up for adoption rather than murdering his child.

I hope he's thrown in prison and used as a sex toy until he's put to death.

There are about 16,000 homicides per year in the U.S. 44 from kids in hot cars seems low, if anything.

I don't have kids. However, I fail to understand how any parent can accept "being tired, busy life, sports, work, etc" for being an excuse for killing your kid by leaving them in a hot car.

Yes, a purse, or diaper bag, a water bottle or cell phone.... but a human?

This. Kids are the last ones in and the first ones out. Simple rule not just for forgetful parents. With all the pervs and scumbags in this world that will take your child in a second if they get the chance.

I dont have kids, and Im not condomng eaving them in the car. I could totally see how it happens though. especially young kids. I know so many people just trying to make ends meet with young kids, tat seem like zombies half the time.

And out of those 16,000 how many do you think are criminal on criminal? 44 kids are worth more than 10,000 gang bangers and drug dealers. Those guys can kill each other all they want.
