I want to ship a car and possibly a bike to the east coast. Any good shipper recommendations?
Thanks

I used ATS Car transport back in the day and my car made it here with no issues but it was an open hauler. I think he is a broker so he gets you a ride based on your criteria and hooks you up with a hauler. Haven't done a moto transport so can't help on that front but maybe they do that also.

I've sent numerous cars & bikes all around. Used different shippers based upon vehicle and locations. Found them through uShip.com, kinda like eBay for shippers. Read ratings and reviews closely, especially recent ones.

Last time I shipped was my wife's Scion xB from Chandler back to Bay Area. It had developed some knocking and I didn't want any more miles on it before taking a close look. I used C and A Home Services. They were extremely responsive and accommodated my requests. Quick pickup, delivered faster than most other bids at reasonable price. No damage or any difficulties.

Thanks for this thread. I'm about to ship a storage container's worth of stuff to someone and I was just starting to think about my options.

+1 for Uship. I had a motorcycle delivered to the bay area from Idaho. With Uship you'll receive quotes from a variety of companies and you choose who you want to use based on price and reviews. The shipper I finally negotiated with also hauled autos. It was an independent father and son company. Very easy to work with.

You sure will. I asked for a quote using that site a few months ago and was inundated with emails and calls for weeks. Some of them continued to try to reach me even after demanded they stop. Caveat emptor.

For this I would do ABF. You tell them how much space you need on a trailer and they will drop it at your house and you fill it up and then put in the partition and they ship it. It's how we moved our household stuff from CA to LA. Or you could even use PODS and have them drop it at your house and then ship/drop it at your friends.

I thought about PODS but assumed it would be more expensive. Thanks for the ABF suggestion, I'll check that out.

Whatcha got Art? I'm a broker, but would kick it over to Stanton if he wants to try and place the order.
