rockAuto.com is a good source with plenty of options for most cars and decent prices.

If BMW or other german car, pelicanparts.com, which is located in and around SF is a good choice, any shipping method usually gets it there within a day in the Bay area.

RockAuto can't sell a lot of parts in California. They can sell those bulbs, with radioactive shit in them, but they can't sell a plastic bumper, because it's missing the fucken warning label.

If rock auto can't sell it, are other online auto parts stores also bound by the same restrictions?

ECOautomotive.com had a lot of body parts at good prices. I would buy replacement parts for my Toyota after destroying them when four wheeling. Plus they are local as well here in Sonoma county. Parts are made overseas though.

If you're interested in used, I would go here: http://car-part.com/

Rockauto does a nice job of showing up in every single search I do regardless of if they have the part, let alone a hope of *ever* having a part. No, you don't rocker panels for a '61 Chrysler.

I refuse to shop there on principle-they are the craigslist keyword spammers of the parts world.

Some of the peoples descriptions are utter shit, but you can get some phenomenal deals if you are willing to wade through the proverbial quagmire of click bait.

You would think wreckers that sell parts for a living would be better at positing descriptions.

Anyways your best bet with car part is to email or call if you are in doubt and see what they actually have because a lot of the time the descriptions can be misleading.
