There's a lot of things like that happening. Veterans can get an indicator on their DL to show others as proof of service, makes it easier to get these kinds of things.

I paid for my card when they were only 10 dollars. I sat in line waiting to get into Yosemite and read the cost menu. It was 20 dollars for 2 weeks, or 10 for ever. No brainer. Now I could get it for nothing. Can I have my 10 dollars back? :laughing:laughing

We just recently bought a year-long pass for all national parks.

I'm going to make a trip up to Yosemite, only about an hour away from home, and get a lifetime pass.

Got my America the Beautiful Access Pass about 6 years ago and have still yet to use it. Stuff keeps happening like fires and such. Some day I suppose it will come in handy. But yes the change to open it to all bets was announced about a month ago. Seems they haven't done a great job making that info public yet.

what if I just have a DD-214? 10 years in the Army reserve.

You know, it's funny.

My brother exists through his DD-214. He's never had a drivers license or other state ID card that I know of. He got a school ID (he's a teacher), he's got his bank card, he uses the VA for healthcare.

Seems to get along fine.

Back to topic, wife just got a free burger (their "Tavern Double") at Red Robin today. They didn't ask for any ID or anything. We just went on our own, and asked why they were so busy.

So, if you want a free burger, RR has one waiting for you.
