Anyone traveling to Vegas?

Bought a new race bike in Vegas. I tried motoshippers as they come highly recommended. Several calls, emails, and the form on their website hasn't gotten me a response. I got quotes from STI (CRST) and motorcycle shippers dot com but neither will take the spare rims and box of parts that go with the bike.

Anyone traveling back from there that could pick up a bike for a fee? Or know another shipping service?

I used Uship to get a bike from San Diego to SF. It's a marketplace that connects shipments with shippers. You submit a listing and shippers/companies bid on the shipment. I reckon you could find a few that would do Vegas to Bay Area.

Got my bike here in a covered trailer for $300 or $400.

Thanks everyone. I hard such good things about motoshippers but haven't been able to contact them. I also heard uship was really hit or miss because it's just a brokerage.

Looks like I'll take a cheap flight down and a one way uhaul back.

I shipped a bike via Federal company. They were great to deal with, and they strap the bike to a dolly and move it safely.
The box of spares can be palletized and shipped via Fastenal. It's kind of annoying doing 2 shipments, but that was the most economical way to do so. I had to get a basket case bike to Oregon from Florida.
If your seller will box things up, it would save you the time of going there. Good luck either way.

The few shippers I've talked to will only take the bike. I'm not trying to hassle the seller although he's been great.

Booked a flight and a truck for $350 total and I'm going to lose a whole Saturday. Oh well. Guaranteed they search my bag in security because it will be filled with tie downs and bungee cords.

I was thinking first joke is that I'm headed to a BDSM convention.

So anyone need anything brought back? Drug mule? Relatives with questionable immigration status? Trying to offset my costs here.
