what happened at the end? why was she still in a different dimension than her husband? shouldnt she and her demon daughter have been able to escape the hell dimension after helping out with the mass slaughter of all those fanatic bitches?

a friend of mine said it was because the girl looked at the evil girl too. but that's still confusing.

the best part of the movie was when pyramid head showed up in front of the church, grabbed one of the girls, ripped her clothes off in an instant, then ripped her skin off in one move and threw it at the church door where blood got through the crack as it was closing and splattered on the mom and the cop. i said 'oh my god' out loud and couldnt help it. i wasnt expecting gore to that level. still, it was a cool scene.

Agreee some nice gore, and the pyramid head guy made the movie for me, frickin' sweet. But yeah, not bad overall, could use somewhat of a clearer story but the effect came through.

the mom, the butch cop and the daughter died early in the movie when they crashed after entering silent hill. that's why their world was all misty (purgatory anyone?), That's why even though the husband and the wife was in the same place (the school and at home) he could feel her, but couldnt see her. When she was telling the townspeople "you're all already damned" meaning they are already dead, and so was she.

the movie had nothing to do with the game btw. Just like resident evil.

it had themes from one and two and the one girl sorta looked like the girl from three. the sotory and what silent hill is is different from the games. i liked the movie though.

nope..i think silent hill was actually an american game. They stole a lot of ideas from the japanese though. The americans werent too good with the horror so they went to gore instead.

the fire babies would have been more freaky if it wasn't so obvious it was CG (actually the whole movie would have been).

and the nurses seen had me feeling a little twisted my own damn self.

Chrono - thanks for clearing that up. i had the same WTF feeling after the movie (needed closure as well). it makes sense but then where the phuck were the bodies? i think the evile side of Alyssa just wanted a new mommie in the end and kept her in the dimension. that explains the cold ass look she gave her real moms when walking out of the church. . . IMO

i was trying to figure it out too, but if she died in the crash, and so did the cop, wouldnt their bodies be in the car? because the husband and the male cop saw the jeep and motorcycle.

i figured they were dead since the husband and wife were in the same place at once. and the worlds were completely different. but there were loopholes in the story.

like why did the eveil part of alyssa decide to go with the good alyssa?

iu also got to thiking about how the whole city went to hell, did the burnt alyssa couse everyone in the city to die? city to burn? imean they really didnt explain what happen. beside her hate gorwing and engulfing the city, but the male cop said there were survivors.,

Best game to movie yet (next to the first mortal combat )

You can play all 4 games and still have no fecking idea what the real plot / point is. I finished the first and started the second but saw it with others that played and got all endings of all 4.

Silent Hill 1-4 were made by Konami of Japan, then brought over and Localized for release in the United States. It is not an American game.

And the movie actually had alot to do with the games, but it sort of blended aspects of each into one story. The school scenes were almost exact to those in the first game. This was probably the closest attempt at making a video game into a movie and actually keeping content close to the original games.

Did any of you notice the sexual tension between the mom and the butch cop through out the movie? It was hard not to notice! I sooo thought they would end up hooking up at some point..or even just kissing but nothing! i was disappointed about that.

Its ok to admit ...the nurses in the basement were hot!
