i know sf hotels are really pricey starting at 200 going up to 600, so anywhere between 200-300 would be nice.

the view from many places is free and better than the uni-direction you'll get from a hotel room.

Yep Fairmont has better views than just about any other hotel around. The Hilton is cheaper and has enough height to have some views, but the Fairmont is THE hotel for views.

Or you can take your sleeping bag and sleep in the bushes at Grace Cathedral and have great views for free.

I wanted a room with a balcony, so I checked into the Grand Horton Hotel in San Diego. :cool

And it has a Ghost. :thumbup
