Any FE350 owners out there?

I'm becoming enamored with the Husky FE350. Someone talk me out of buying one! I want a street legal bike that is motocross track capable - and I'm thinking this is the machine.

Out of curiousity, what range are you guys getting out of a tank of gas on one? 2.25 gallons seems light in the way of fuel capacity.

Rebekah just bought one, I'm sure she'll be along shortly. Also I believe Drew, user name escapes me has one. The bike performed great in Baja.

If you're worried about range, there are larger fuel tanks available for these bikes. I don't own one, but I did ride one for a few minutes down in Baja. I can tell you that I felt comfortable on it immediately and that it handled extremely well. Granted, I wasn't railing or doing anything technical, but it felt REALLY easy to ride.

Hard to talk you out of one :)

I've only test ridden the FE350 briefly and wasn't enough to form an opinion.

I have ridden the KTM equivalent though and they are really nice. They are very fast, well suspended and easy to ride. If you plan on doing MX you'll need to have the suspension done.

As far as I can tell, range is really good and oversize tanks are available.

Yup, this deal is nearly done. Just put a deposit down on a 2018 model. I kinda figured I'd need the suspension done, but I'll try and adjust it first and then ship it to Factory Connection if need be.

If you want a do all bike I think the FX350 is a better choice. The FE350 is a 241lb street legal enduro bike. The FX350 is a cross country race bike at 222lbs and the FC350 is a 221lb motocross bike.

The FE350 is going to take a bit of work to be comfortable on a MX track...but it is street legal

Not an owner but I have ridden 350s, in both Orange and White flavors, long enough to form an opinion. My opinion is they are totally excellent.
That motor is soo good. At the risk of stating the obvious, it perfectly bridges the gap between a 250 and 450 for trail riding. If I was looking to replace my 300 with a 4stroke to do the same job, I would get a KTM/Husky/Beta 350.

Yeah, the street legal part is a must. It will be a mountain bike that will occasionally be used to run errands. I currently have a CRF250X and 450x, so both of those girls are heavy compared to the FE350. I do okay with them on the MX track, but I'm also not racing them either.

I have the 2016 fe350s - it's awesome. I'm a decent rider and I think it feels great at the mx park but I'm probably not going much more than 5ft in the air.

I let a very advanced rider ride it this past weekend and he was in love. He said he's never felt more comfortable on someone else's bike so fast and that in the high rpms the power feels comparable to a two stroke (a high compliment considering he views two strokes as superior).

I doubt you'll hear anyone talking you out of one :D

You can get a second tank for range when you are not on the track.

If you buy a used 2015-2016 FE350 you can get an Acerbis 4.1 or 5.3 tank for the KTM EXC. The Husky seat is about half an inch too long for the KTM tank but it will still work.

For 2017 there is an IMS 4.5 gallon tank.

An additional fuel pump to make quick swaps for when you do MX will make life easier. Or maybe just run w less fuel...
