Air Bag vests

I've got my eye on a Hit-Air MLV RC
I know it's not the most technically advanced system but it is better then not wearing a vest. The feature I like about this vest is that it will flow more air then any of the other vests I've seen so I will be more apt to wear it in the hot weather.
I'm waiting until I sell some things in the garage to free up my fun budget.

Good choice!

I've been wanting a vest a lot lately, but have trouble finding decent sizing info. Which vests are compatible with us big boys? I'm about a 52" chest right now (thankfully shrinking due to COVID exercise routines).

Too much lean angle...
I actually prefer the Alpinestars because they don't have that bulky stuff down at the bottom of your back and you can wear it with any jacket.
The Alpinestars Tech Air 5 needs 4 cm of free space around the circumference of the chest when worn with regular jackets. What jacket does one have with 3 inches of room and isn't the fit sloppy otherwise?

4cm is only 1.57" total, so if you have like .8 inches front and back, that's enough. A golfball is 4.2cm, so if you can fit a golf ball between your jacket and vest, that's enough. :thumbup

I'm looking at the Tech Air 5 as well. Does it have as good of coverage as the Hit-Air? It looks like the Hit-Air covers more around your neck and tailbone. I'm between the Tech Air 5 and the Klim right now (and maybe the Hit-Air, but I can't find much in the way of their sizing and availability).

" Riders who wish to wear a leather jacket that is not Tech-Air® compatible must be sure that the leather jacket has an additional 4 cm of space around the circumference of the entire chest."

I read it as 4 cm in the front of your chest and 4 cm in the rear of the back for a total of 8 cm clearance needed for air bag expansion.
