AFM round 1

I know its a little late on my update but I've been really busy trying to recover from the weekend.

750P was a bummer, was gridded row 5 and had to make up a bunch of ground, got a good start and by turn 2 was in 4th, then the front end started feeling heavy... had a valve stem failure that resulted in a flat front tire. Thanks to the guys at CT Racing for quickly handling the problem

1st place 600P - A lot of traffic and some dangerous passes, lead the first few laps, Aguilar made a pass for the lead and was riding well, unfortunately he got caught up with a lapper and cost him the win.

So after the great race with Aguilar and trying to fine tune my bike for my new set up I have for this year (Pirelli race tires) my next race was formula 1. I started in the fifth row coming from behind with a hard charge, I made a mistake that caused me to run off the track & I went from 4th to 8th, I got back on the track and pushed hard, ended up with 5th place.

The next race was 600 superbike, I got a great start & was leading, it was red flagged on the first lap, so my lead was taken away. On the restart me and another rider were going into turn two close to each other, I decided to let him go, he ran wide at the last minute before turning into turn two and left a NASCAR sized mark down my side fairing before taking my front end off the ground taking me out of the race. So I had to rush into the pits because my last race was only 1 race away, my team scrambled to get my bike together for my last race, we ended up not getting the bike ready on time... So a friend of mine Joe decided to take a race off and let me race his Pirelli shod R6 instead in 750 superbike. Never riding his bike, we put in 3 turns of preload into the suspension for good luck & took off.

750SB, Joe's bike, warm up lap to sort out the differences between his R6 & mine, the flag drops - I'm in second place & riding easy, but mad from what happened over the weekend, going into the last turn on the first lap I tried to make the move to first. The suspension wasn't set for me so the bike didnt slow down like it was suppose to, I ended up going off the track... I got back on the track in 8th place and ended the race with a third.

It wasnt the result I wanted but it was better than what it could have been. I couldnt do it with out my sponsors. I have to give a huge thanks Sage Wilkinson, Don Beck, Joe Palmeri and my family, they helped me so much this weekend.

I would also like to thank Barry @ KFG Racing / GP Suspension for the setup help, CT Racing / Pirelli tires for the awesome tires and trackside service - the new setup for this year is coming along fast, the Pirelli tires are amazing and I have so much confidence in my bike with them, a little more on bike set up and we'll be there.

I'd like to thank Bay area Rider forum and Keigwins at the track. Also a big big thanks to AGV sports leathers. My leathers have taken crashes and last forever. Also have to give a big thanks to Pina auto kolor. Fredy has always given me the best paint jobs ever. I have also picked up a great new sponsor so i have to give a big thanks to Sato racing for the product keep and eye out for pictures of there awsome product line. I would also like to thank GP frame and wheel.
