was riding my bike today on the freeway and normally if you take this over 65 and if there are mild winds it starts to shake a little and can be challenging to keep the bike steady in higher speeds!! 1 peculiar realization though, today while coming down 880 and it was pouring pretty hard and it was windy, i was almost doing 75 to 80 and the steering held really nicely and the traction was unbeleivable...why is that so?? i thought it should be the opposite...and another question is there anyway to mod my klx 250 so that i can reduce the shakiness at higher speeds...lemme know..although i love the light weight which is super agile and awesome in trails..i wouldn't mind taking my baby at higher speeds on the freeway....

For future reference, most motorcycle threads go in the General section.

Meanwhile, if you read only one thread on the extranets, it should probably be this one on advrider. It covers nearly every real-world question and concern a KLX250s owner could have.

ummm, maybe because you were riding straight down the highway?

Road surface maybe? Varies alot on 880. Check steering stem nut for correct torque, occasionally. Mods, street tires?
If you get tires be sure to go as thin as possible, conventional wisdom from barf legends. Just Joking:teeth

:laughing normally if you take over 65 it rattles on the highway..but that day it was super stable even at 80+ speeds and it felt great..i wish it would be like that I would seriously take on sportbikes on the freeway....:p
