We'll see her in 2011. So happy for this (and that girly moto gear is more prevalent than ever).

We've got one in the oven right now, too. In fact I'm typing next to the wife's bed in the hospital. She's on bed rest but not in labor just yet. Day five now.

The water broke a little bit on the night of the eclipse (a mad house here on the baby ward), so we've been staying put. The baby is a few weeks early so any prayers, animal sacrifices, and any other superstitions are appreciated. We'll probably induce if nothing happens in a few more days, but mama and baby are all happy and healthy.

Another one due in 2011 (early June) :teeth

This was taken at about 6.5 weeks and we are now at about 28 weeks... We wont know if we are talking "he" or "she" until the next visit - couple of weeks.

Jimbo007? Report we need to hear from you.

Today's update for you:

Still good. Watching daytime TV and enjoying some Mel's diner food from two blocks away. Shannon is starting to feel the contractions that we've been seeing on the monitor and the doctor's prognosis is that she's "brewing". He thinks that labor will begin within a day or two. If it doesn't, then we'll likely do something to start it. The risk of infection vs. the benefit of cooking for another couple of days is the topic. We're very near the magical 35 week number so we're not very nervous. And we're happy to be in the hospital where we get to hear the baby all the time and if anything happened we're about 15 seconds from the best care we could ever want.

And I only live 14 minutes (yes, timed) from the hospital and I get to go home at night and assemble strollers and other baby stuff at night and sleep in my own bed with my phone. The soon-to-be grandparents took all the gift cards we'd gotten at the showers and went do Babies R Us yesterday and got almost everything we still needed.

Thanks for the interest, from both of us. We'll keep you posted.

Hang in there Jim, it's all part of the process. Just make your home on that crap folding bed/chair and nature will call.
Best wishes and congrats to you. It's only uphill for a couple of years then it is pretty great.

Daily update: No contractions on the monitor sessions. Everybody happy and healthy. Expect to induce in the coming days. Mama is sick of hospital food, but I'm sleeping at home at nights so I can come back and bring food and clean pajamas. Tomorrow we'll have been in for a week. Seems like we're just about out of the woods.
