2021 New Bikes and Updates

The new Grom seems strange to me, like it's and update to gen 1(looks only). Seems like this one should've been the gen 2, and the current one should've been gen 3.

That Trail 125 is calling my name, but I just got a dirt bike, so I'll pretend it doesn't exist for now....:hand

Where are you all pulling updates from? I used to look to Intermot / EICMA for the manufacturer launch days, now it seems to be instagram releases each day for a manufacturer, with manufacturers alternating weeks?

Saw everything so far in this thread, waiting to see if KTM updated the SDGT / 1290 SA-S / launched a 1290 SM-T or 890 SM-T, and of course awaiting the shitheel-pisspot-19"-front-wheel-only-new-Multistrada. Not bitter. Not a bit.

Rolls with it...
I always thought that was the charm of the Speed Triple... :dunno

I'll hold out judgement til the finished bike is intro'd.

New mt09. Pretty much a full redesign according to marketing.
These keep getting better apparently.

Gawd, that tank, that saggy back, those awful wheels, that headlight that's 6" too high--smh. Yamaha's design team is way off in left field. I've been wanting an FZ/MT09 for years but they've been through three generations of the bike now and all three make me throw up in my mouth more than a little.

A 490 enduro you say? I'm intrigued!

A 490 twin cylinder enduro, I say! Should split the difference between your DRZ and Hyper nicely.

I've lusted after the Aprilia SXV supermotos for years, but those engines are so highly tuned they're grenades waiting to go off. 490 SMC for me plz!

KTM has me really confused...

Are they sunsetting the 790's? what will happen to the 390s if they launch 490s? Seems like a lot of models with very minimal variations. Don't get me wrong, I love the new 890 Duke but if I had bought a 790 a year ago, I would've been pissed!

I bought a 790 at the end of last year and I'm still totally happy with it and not even the slightest bit tempted by an 890. Mine has all the power I could want and I'm not interested in any more added weight, even if it is supposed to be only 13 pounds.

I think it's pretty cool that the 490 will be a twin. Everything from 690 on down has been a single up to this point. I have nothing against singles (my Honda is one), but I expect a 490 twin will make a better adventure bike. And I'm real curious what a 490 enduro would be like.

Looks alright for a naked standard... :dunno

There are rumors of an FZ750 styled bike that is the works...

But do you mind the lack of an exhaust pipe?

"Looks alright that tank look really small though probably be filling up often."

Check out the 360* view on Yamaha's website. The tank looks like it has a flare at the top, and not in a cool, sculpted Brutale or Super Duke 1290 kind of way either. More like a malignant growth.

The V-4 Multi comes out next week, but Ducati is releasing glimpses of it....

That's a lot of switches...
