I recently bought this from TJ @ Ridersdiscount (shout out for great price and amazing customer service), and I'm on the fence keeping it vs. returning it. Thought I'd see if someone wants to buy it for what I paid (- the $25 it'll cost me to ship it back), but I'm firm on the price since I can return it for a full refund for another 3 weeks.
More info on the suit here: https://www.alpinestars.com/collect...gp-pro-v2-1-piece-suit?variant=31614508040250
Note: In the official photos the suit looks all black, but in reality the stretch fabric panels are gray (as you see in my photos) which changes the look quite a bit. You may like it or not, but just know Alpinestars' photos are misleading.
Why I like it:
- In the previous gen GP Tech/GP Pro I had to use a 54 to fit the torso/chest but it made the legs and arms too long and loose. In this new gen I can fit a 52 and the legs and butt are PERFECT, the torso and chest are good too.
- Suit is clearly well made and has great protection and features and still feels very light and slim.
- Zip-in liner makes it easy to get in/out of the suit.
Why I don't like it:
- The arm hole is very tight, it digs into the back of my shoulders and between my armpit and chest, and the arms themselves are very tight. I don't think a Tech-Air airbag will fit, and even without the airbag my arm movement is tight. It may stretch out, but with so much stretch fabric already in place I worry that it won't be enough.
My measurements: 5'8", 181lb, 40.5" chest, 30" inseam. My chest/shoulders are broad for my height but I'm not bulky or overly muscular. Someone at my height with a slimmer chest and arms would fit this suit like a glove.
