2017 CB500F Clutch Lever Binding

Worked fine on Wed., parked on the street. Today I hop on to ride home and the clutch lever is binding. The lever will not spring fully back out without me pushing it out by hand(light touch). Don't think anyone messed with the bike, the bike cover hooks were in the exact same spots with the same tension.

So hop off try and see what's going on. I disconnect the clutch cable from the actuator. Still binding. I work the lever hoping it's some rust or something that can be worked out. But still the same. The cable adjuster lock nut(at the lever) is super tight, I can't turn it by hand. Guess no one messed with that or the adjuster near the actuator. so ride home...

Seems odd that it was fine then boom crappy. What else should I check?

Remove the lever clean everything reinstall it with proper lubrication. My guess is there's some corrosion and/or duster grit stuck in there.

In the middle of it now. Such a drastic change basically overnight, thought it might be something simpler and less hassle.

Lever pivot cleaning and lubing is about as simple as it gets.

Loosen the cable adjuster, remove the cable, remove the pivot bolt...
