2016 was the hottest year on record since scientists began tracking Earth’s temperature more than 100 years ago , according to independent analyses by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The 1.69-degree jump over the 20th-century average, according to NOAA, marks the third year in a row that global temperatures have reached record-shattering levels. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration added that the global average temperature for 2016 was 1.78 degrees higher than a baseline period between 1951 and 1980.

Both agencies noted that Earth’s average global temperature — which NOAA pegged at 57 degrees — was higher in 2016 than in any year since scientists began tracking it in 1880.

“For the first time in recorded history, we have now had three consecutive record-warm years,” said Michael Mann, a climate scientist at Pennsylvania State University who was not involved in the findings. “The likelihood of this having happened in the absence of human-caused global warming is minimal.”

Long before rising temperature does its dirty deed, the rising population will.

Ask anyone to prove beyond doubt that gravity exists and they can do it despite gravity being an extremely complex thing.

Ask the biggest brains in climate change of a certain persuasion to explain climate change and you will be told its too complex to explain using facts (the degree to which human activity is contributing to climate change so much it will "kill" the planet) and instead you'll be told that there is a consensus.

Scientists created atomic weapons
Scientists created the industrial complexes
Scientists created almost everything that creates climate change.

Scientists renounce all the things they created that they now say create climate change.

Scientists have figured out that they can say anything and people will believe it if they just preface it with "scientists said".

And the reason those things got widely used was because there were heaps of money to be made by pursuing them. Apparently our collective survival is a bit tougher to generate instant returns on investment from.

Total bullshit. If you can't understand it, it's not because scientists are failing to explain it. It's simply because you don't understand it. Start here:

Really he sounds anti-technology. Makes me think if the Great Smog of London in the 50's, which was a pretty low-tech era and way before anyone thought much about the environment. Scientists said thousands of people died.
