2014 Yamaha R1 engine compression question.

Trying to get a used motor into a project
That has no motor. The motor I'm interested in
Shows compression of cyl 1: 210 cyl 2: 150 cyl 3: 140 cyl 4: 180 I'm I reading it wrong or this engine has 2 bad pistons?

Doesn't have to be pistons. Could be burned or tight valves. A leakdown test will point you in the right direction.

I see. The seller did the test and sent a video just to be sure tho those numbers arent good right?

Well the 140 & 150 are low. If you can't get a leakdown number I'd either low ball the offer or pass.

If the seller doesnt know why or hasnt dine some minimum I vestigating I'd pass too. Putting some oil in the questionable cylinders and repeating is pretty easy and can help distinguish rings vs valves
