2005 Kawasaki Ninja 500R *SOLD*
Bike is sold.
I bought this bike for my wife 2 years ago from a very nice older man in Sunnyvale who was afraid of freeways and only rode it on city streets in Sunnyvale and Cupertino. It has 1,700 miles on it and was barely broken in.
Since then my wife has ridden it a grand total of 2 times, I've ridden it a few more times, and we only added 200 miles in 2 years. So, it's got to go as it's just sitting around taking up space in the garage and hogging the trickle charger.
It's black with a dark silver bellypan and minimal silver stripe decals, and bone stock. Earlier this year I had Werkstatt service it from end to end - new fluids, new tires (Bridgestone Battlax BT-45's, the good stuff for this bike), new battery, did the carbs, etc. It looks and runs like new (which is essentially is).
While cleaning it the other day I noticed a hairline crack on the inside of the right upper bodywork panel. It looks like someone snapped a corner off and had it professionally plastic welded, because it's impossible to tell from the outside. One of the exhaust cans also has some slight discoloration on the underside. A very fine sandpaper and some silver polish should take care of that. I'll try to do it if I get time.
Couldn't take pictures because it's dark and rainy, but have included a generic photo of the exact color and graphics. i'll update post with real photos once the weather clears up.
Bike is located in the Glen Park area of San Francisco, and I can also deliver it within a reasonable distance, especially if that's a deal breaker. PM or text/call 415-290-6030 if you're interested.
