There's a chance I'll semi-retire in 4-5 years in Japan. Just in time to nab a Z that is low mileage and clean enough to eat your sushi off of. :cool

Nice Z porn. Man it's been 2 years since it came out already! The GPZs and Z bikes are super popular in Japan, I saw a lot of nice ones when I went to Japan. :)

I used to have a Zephyr 550

Now I have a ZR-7 (that's for sale)

Then the old 750 Turbo

Some Z bikes I saw in Japan

Been stuck trying to decide between the z900rs and the indian ftr1200. I like the idea and sound of the Indian and the little bit of extra power but damn if the z900rs isn't beautiful and I am already familiar with its engine and parts for maintenance. Hnghh.

Thinking of keeping the bike past a few years? Nothing beats Kawi reliability and ease of maintenance...

Thanks for the link. Dang do I wish I could read their symbols.

They've been out since 2015' in Japan; only 2 years here.

A whole bunch of the ZRX crew traded up to the z900rs. I wanted one but the last few years of massive medical problems put an end to that.

Now I'm really more hot on the H2 SE SX "Sport Tourer" w/all it's electronic gizmos (mostly the electronic shifter & slipper clutch which will help w/the amputated leg.)

Thanks again....ebd

I think that there must be a bike club for just about every model built over in Japan. Witness the TW200 fans etc.

I got to ride a Z900RS last year and it was great. It was comfy and really zippy. I've never gotten to ride a ZRX so I can't compare but it blows my ZR-7 away. I honestly haven't seen too many on the road though but it's a good bike. I wish they would do a midnight blue like my old Zephyr.

Yeah I ride bikes until they die. I'm at 110,000 miles on my ninja 1000 now. I peeped one of these z900rs at the dealer and took a poke around the engine area. Almost everything is in the same exact place as on my ninja 1000 so maintenance should be easy as hell for me. Especially since it is naked and I can work without having to take off a million fasteners to get all of my plastics off when doing almost any maintenance on the engine. That's the main thing that makes me procrastinate on maintenance items. It takes longer to get the fairings, wires, hoses, air box, and brackets off than doing the actual work itself.

Definitely a big plus.

I just wish they didn't detune it so much for the rs model.

most of the zrxoa folks didn't like the detune, & $3K upgrade!

I really dig the Z900rs cafe sport but I’m sure the ninja 1000 bikes are also superb all around. There is a new ninja 1000 coming out also in 2020.

Riding partner of mine got the Ninja 1000 couple years ago; he has bought all the stuff to make it a "sport tourer." (bags/gearing/screen/etc.)

He rides it everywhere now; short trip is up to Weaverville, or Oregon.... :thumbup
