40,300 miles on it.
BARF donation paid out of sales price.
It's a bike that can supply ALL of the base layer. It's got 40,300 miles on it. It needs some love, but not so much that it turns sour.
When I got the bike I verified piston height was good, which told me the bike was not previously hydrolocked and the ONLY known issue of these bikes! Beside them being tall, that is.
I then had a carb rebuild completed with that Steve guy in Flourdah at the Shouldabeen Eng. Don't worry, he's the expert in the field of Connie, you can check with him and google. The carb rebuild includes installing overflow tubes BTW, so it is impossible to hydrolock now.
I did plug wires, plugs, valve lash, gaskets, new tires a few times, lubed everything including the coupling in the rear end, did rear end oil, clutch and brake fluid flushes, coolant, recent battery, blah, blah, blah. I replaced the petcock with OEM, and installed a racer, high performance, badass, manual chain tensioner to get rid of that hideous rattle. Don't worry though, I didn't over tension that bitch.
It's got Ridgid LED lights that help in the night. It's got an adjustable Madstad windshield which is the one to have for this bike.
It's got a stock seat and I'll include the Russel Day Long seat as well, which is the one everybody drools over.
It's got the riser blocks for the bars. I think they're 1.25" or something. The most on just a block anyway. Want more rise, you gotta get Heli Bars.
It's got anti-vibration bar ends and throttle lock.
It's got Givi tail box. I built it up on risers that can be taken out. I thought this was safer for my wife, who rode plenty of miles on the back of this bike with me.
I have an extra set of EBC front and rear brake pads, but don't fret because the pads installed now are new on the front and plenty good on the rear.
It was dropped as well by the previous owner, which dented the left side of the fuel tank and scarred the left side case, but that's just added character anyway.
I have an extra rear drive shaft. It'll never be needed though.
What it needs if I was to keep it:
1) I'm 5'6" and 150 lbs. After a few years of commuting over Hwy 17 every day, I finally dropped the beast it at a stop sign in the CV. I broke the left mirror. The drop also cracked the fairing, which is minor. I was going to fix that with a few pop rivets and a piece of aluminum sheet. I got lazy and never did it. The mirror is $115 for OEM at Murph's place. (edit: the broken mirror has been replaced)
2) It needs suspension rebuild on the front end. But wait! I actually have all the parts, except for the oil and measuring device to refill the proper amount. Yes, that's right. I have a set of RaceTech springs and all the seals for the rebuild, in my possession. I think the springs are rated at 195 #, but I would have to actually check.
3) It also needs a nice new shock on the rear. The original still works and holds air fine and long, but it's mushy and I didn't like that. Progressive makes the one I would install. It's $392. This bike would run like a raped ape with a full suspension overhaul.
4) It's due for valve adjustment. The cool part is that I have new valve cover gasket and tube seals here ready to install. I also have the awesome Murph's blocks here. Shiny and brand new. They eliminate the air bypass tubes on top of the valve cover and make it more racer.
I have a few extra oil filters too. Anything that is for the bike, goes with the bike. I think I've mentioned everything.
Everything is current at DMV and I just paid registration through July 2020. I have clean title.
I live in Atwater now, near Merced.
