Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

For almost every year, make, and model there’s a golden version in which the manufacturer did almost everything right The second-generation Dodges with the 5.9L P7100 pump 12-valve engines may just go down as the most reliable diesel trucks in history. It’s not uncommon for these pickups to make it more than 500,000 miles on the factory engine.

Truck has sat for the past two years, wer'e selling because clearly it is not being used to it's true potential. Everything in the truck is in great working order except for the list below.

Known issues are as follows
-Left window rolls up and down very slowly (needs regulartor)
-Right front brake caliper stuck in open position
-Transmition doesn't shift into higher gear. Usually the speed sensor and the differential sensor get replaced and fixes the problem.

The carpet and upholstery are in great shape, the exterior is in great shape, except for two very minor dents on the lower extremities of the truck and a key mark from someone walking by, the camper shell's paint is peeling a bit from the top and its back window is broken. The wheels are in great condition and the chasis and engine are in phenominal working condition, it starts up and runs very well, with great compression, power, and more importantly no leaks. There are no electrical issues, all electrical components work like they should. Front windshield has just been replaced so no cracks or chips. It has been ran and driven the last few days and the description is an accurate representation of its current condition.

Truck will serve the right person very well

Well, since you asked, your price isnt realistic for a truck with tranny issues, busted window and nearly no brakes. One cant really say "its just a sensor" because if it was, the speed sensors are cheap and easy to install. I suggest fix the driveabilty issues and get it safely to stop, you would have better luck in selling it. Unless you adjust the price accordingly. G'luck in your sale. One of the last good diesels out there.

On top of that, you're asking 12v Cummins + 5 speed price for a 12v Cummins + auto. Mopar autos were weak for heavy towing till Dodge intro'd the 68RFE in '07.

And I speak as a 24V + 48RE owner.
