Hey guys,
I'm selling my 1986 Toyota MR2. Car is in good running condition, with everything working (including A/C) with exception of a stereo (fixed the radio wiring from a previous owner and never bothered installing a new radio since I didn't use it), and the interior latch for the trunk doesn't work (key still works fine).
I bought the car with 176k in April 2018, and it currently has just over 179k.
Prior to purchasing the car, the clutch, engine mounts and bushings were replaced (I don't have receipts for this work, but looking under the car you can see that the bushings and engine mounts are new).
Since I have owned the car I have done the following:
- Koni Yellow shocks
- Eibach springs
- ARP lug studs
- BBS RA 15x6 wheels with 195/50/15 BFG G-Force Sport Comp 2 tires
- New Moog front inner + outer tie rods
- Matrix Garage rear tie rods
- Passenger side steering rack bushing (known to wear out)
- Matrix garage spherical shifter bushing
- TwosRUs cable and shifter base bushings
- Shift boot and center console arm rest
- HKB Boss steering wheel hub w/ Nardi steering wheel
- Thermostat and coolant flush at 177k
- Oil change and spark plugs replaced at 179k
I will include the original 3 spoke 14" wheels, stock springs and steering wheel as well. Please note the quick release steering wheel hub will not be included.
The car runs perfectly, and could be a daily driver if wanted. I drove it back from San Diego with no issues, and drive it to work occasionally. No 5th gear pop out on the transmission; power windows, door locks, HVAC all work great. The paint is a little rough, with some mild surface rust on the driver's side rear quarter panel, but this has not spread, and the chassis has no rust underneath. Interior is in good shape, with no cracks on the dash. The only wear is on the driver's side door card.
Car has a clean title in my name, and I will smog for a serious buyer. Registered till June 2019. Asking $4000 OBO.
Test drives with cash in hand.
