Always wanted one of these, reminds me of the local small farmers back home that'd ride these all over, cigarette and flat cap in the wind.

A lead from BARF had me chase this one down. A little clean up and minor repairs and it'll be a gem !

NOS kit is on order... in reality nothing about this bike makes me want to wheelie it :)

I"m loving it so far. Just replaced the seat cover, bent brake levers and took off the decrepit front basket. Have a new batter on order as I'd like an elec start. I hear it a common issue with these bikes though.

I'm finding it hard to locate the angel blue paint for touch ups though.

Love that blue. Also, be careful with that 6V, it's known to blow lamps when not well charged.

Happens with 12V versions, too. Passport/Cubs have lack a voltage regulator so rely on a good battery. You need to keep the battery in top form which is sometimes easier said then done.

I learned the lesson and coughed up$15 for a new headlamp 35 years ago:headlight brightness grows along with the revs, then gets nice and reallllly bright....then....darkness. :rant

Is it possible to add a voltage regulator?
