Once a year the park service lights the old Fresnel Lens at Pigeon Point. Last year it was cancelled due to budget cuts, but this year it is on. The weather looks to be great out on the coast for this event. Bring a camera and tripod if you are so inclined. More info about the event can be found here:

Meet:Union 76 at the corner of Saratoga Sunnyvale and CA-9. KSU at 3:45.
Route: Little 9, a bit of 35, a touch of eighteyfourscedaro, some nice coastal 1 and a little old path between San Jose and Soquel. Click here for more info.
Dinner : Kianti's Pizza and Pasta, Santa Cruz. We'll head down that way about 6:45ish. Dinner will be about 7:45ish.

Notes: Parking may be tight, so we'll have to do our best when we get down there. If you've got a Thermos, toss it in the tail bag with some hot water. I'll bring some cups, tea, and hot chocolate while we are out there.
Should be a fun outing. Hope to see ya'll there! Feel free to just join at the lighthouse or dinner as well. Pace will be mellow, but feel free to ride your own ride.
