Hi all. The spring on my clutch lever that is on my right crank case basically snapped and is just freely spinning. I ordered a new clutch lever spring from the dealer along with a brand new clutch cable since the cable hasn't been changed to my knowledge. I was wondering if it is possible to pull out the clutch lever without removing the crank case? Thank you.

the manual says to take the cover off before removing the lever and IIRC it wont just pull out. taking off the cover should take 3min and u wont lose any oil w/ the bike on the kickstand.

yeah unfortunately you do need to take the case off. make sure you have a torque wrench and some rtv / gasket maker since there is no gasket part you can order from honda. if you've never taken the cover off before, you might have to persuade it with a rubber mallet or wood block+hammer

Honda case cover surfaces are machined very well. so dont screw them up with a screwdriver in btw the surfaces. theyll also squeeze out practically all the gasket maker ull apply, so u dont need much. really, the only place where u need a reasonable amount of sealant is around the corners of the wire grommet.
