0% chance of rain, really

I was going to post a rant about how this is the second time I got rained on when the weather channel app said 0% chance of rain, then I noticed I still had it set to Orlando FL for the xmas vacation, my bad. :laughing

Now it says 100%, that's better...

No I didn't ride, but I was all suited up to ride to work, walked out into rain, turned around and walked back inside, and am working from home today. :)

This is my BARF break...

I dunno, I usta commute in the rain. I decided this year I wasn't gonna do it anymore. Do I have to turn in my Barf card too?

Riddle me this.
I did 2 years commuting in the rain by necessity since I only owned a moto. Once I bought a car, commuting in the rain stopped. Not worth the risk vs time saved.

The truth is, things got a lot easier for me once I bought myself some heat (vest)
Now if I could only buy me some dry.

Would you still ride your favorite loop of twisties in the wet weather now too risky for commute?

Even if it was set correctly, you prob would've been tricked. I was checking weather all day to see what time I should leave work and settled on staying a little longer until 6pm when it was supposed to be 0% chance. :/

I'll be carpooling with my roommate tomorrow. I don't mind the ride as far as a little wet and a little chilly is concerned but the risk seems unnecessary if I don't have to.

Is it weird that I enjoy riding in the rain? And since traffic is worse too, as risk goes up, reward goes up, so the ratio stays balanced ha.

Today I chose not to commute because of the rain being accompanied by high winds and predicted T-storms. When I drove to the gym in the evening I saw one motorcycle riding into the neighborhood, going the other way. I think it was my BARF mod neighbor, but I couldn't see through the rain well enough to tell.

I hope I don't have to turn in my rider card.

Driving back from the gym on the freeway my windshield got nailed hard by water kicked up by a van in the next lane. Glad that didn't hit me on the bike. I guess most of us commuters have ridden flooded freeways before. Not something I really miss.

I enjoy riding in the rain and being hyper aware of control inputs. Besides, I figure the bike and I will slide if I crash in the rain, instead of tumbling.

Safety.
