Rolls with it...
In high school I witnessed a classmate roll a Mercury Capri when he hit a median doing 60 plus in a 25... :laughing
(I saw on FB he just retired from the DEA.)

I'm wondering if him being used to much, much better vehicles was a factor in this accident. With a high performance car you can do things that a SUV like this would not even begin to handle.

I assume I'd eventually overcome the horrible uncomfortableness of having servants
Right.. exceeded the speed rating of the tires? Don’t think so.. hahaFrom what I saw of a video of the accident scene, he must have been traveling very fast, possibly triple digits. I wonder if he exceeded the aerodynamic capabilities of the vehicle, went past the speed rating on the tires or just over-corrected and the crappy suspension couldn't handle the correction. He's damn lucky to still be alive.

I call bullshit. :teeth
If you could put that thing on the roof I would've done it.
I had a Capri in high school. It had a chubby little V6 stuffed in it. That thing hauled ass. In fact my license plate was 1FASTV6
I really miss that car.
Swear.
To.
God! (... and it was right in front of the Carmel Mission :laughing)
He tried to pass me on my RD, went in to the turn lane, but didn't make it back before hitting the median that didn't have a turn lane... pretty much unchanged since then. Lotsa sparks as it slid on its roof.
Kids.
" uncomfortableness " New to my lexicon. I will now discard " discomfort " when killing time on the interweb.
cnn article said:Tiger Woods' car accident occurred on a stretch of road known for high speeds and prone to crashes, L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said a news conference Tuesday.
"At the time it [Woods' SUV] crossed the center divider, to the point that it rested, was several hundred feet away, so obviously that indicates they were going at a relatively greater speed than normal," Villanueva said.
"Because it is downhill, it slopes, and also it curves. That area has a high frequency of accidents. It's not uncommon," the sheriff added.
Car looks badly crumpled but modern cars are supposed to crumple in a crash to buffer the occupants.
It's shockingly easy to roll a car. If you've never seen one happen live real time, it's so hard to understand the mechanism.
Tiger hit the median and, I assume, overcorrected. Once he was in the dirt, all done.
Modern stability control has changed the world for vehicle rollovers...when they're on the road. Most rollovers happen after vehicle depart the paved surface. Given he hit the center media and the left front (and right front) tires are badly torn, he likely hit the center media and jumped it. Once in the air, the stability control systems get all wonky and with flat tires, they can work against the driver. I'm betting on distracted driving, speed, impact with curbing and the rest, he was along for the ride. That vehicle has a lot of front/ rear damage.
uhhh... what is this maps tag?
:laughing
I guess I need to go look into vbulletin tags to see what all is available.
