Godspeed Hoho

frozenuts

I make words too.
He was everywhere.

Barf jams, rallies, skips meets, SF meets, taco Tuesdays, AFM events, karting, shooting, and always the ice cream trips that happened after all of the above. It did not matter what city, what time of day, or who else was going to be there - if it involved his friends he did it.

Because he was everywhere, he touched more people than he probably realized. Because of that he will continue to be everywhere.

Cancer may have claimed his body, but his soul lives on in the hundreds of hearts of those he considered friends.

You will never be forgotten, Hoho. We love you.

I am so devastated by how quickly his health deteriorated, and now we've lost him. It hurts. Life is very unfair to the best people - and Hoho was one of the BEST. Kind and genuine and humble but with confidence.

Bud, I was going to ask you to consider renaming the Weaverville rally in his honor. I LOVE that you did so already. He should always be remembered and now the Hoho rally will be another way to keep him with us in spirit. Thank you. I'll post pictures soon.

:rip Horace. It was always laughs and good times, don’t think I ever once saw or heard him grumpy. Super upbeat dude at every event, bar, ride, whatever. Always smiling.

I've been thinking about so many side splitting hysterically funny events that were shared with Hoho.

The ultimate practicle joke on Budman at Fred's when Moin KAHN came to town. 2013 ish I think?Hoho set up the video feed that supposedly was going to allow Moin to talk to a group about motorcycling in Pakistan. When he started showing his "pole to pole" sponsored Multistrada to the group on video it took Budman a long minute to figure out it ws his bike back behind the building. :rofl
Thanks for making that happen HoHo!

Kurt, thank you for the invite... I'm so happy to have hugged so many BARFers tonight... and so sad that HoHo wasn't there to hug... :cry

:rip HoHo! :cry

He often spread joy to me and others, at sooo many social events, just by being there.

Great post, Dennis! And Connie, thanks for the reminder to hug each other NOW -- before it's too late... and to be kind and loving.

Too bad, one of the few Barfers I met in person. I remember HoHo asking my Barf handle and I said, "Ratsblast." Took one look at my bike and said, "makes sense."

Thank you for the pictures Dennis. I can't imagine the depth of loss and grief that his family must be feeling now.

I didn't know he was going through this... I met him at a rally, really nice dude. I remember following him and looking at his toes hanging a bit low on that triumph, I was so concerned and focused on his toes that I forgot to watch the road and went full speed off the road behind him at that rally. Every time I saw him afterwards, we'd still make jokes about that. RIP dude :rose
