Who reads comics?

As in comic books? Not the sunday funnies. :rolleyes

I used to collect them a couple yrs ago but stopped cause it was getting abit expensive.

If you do read, do you just collect them or you read em? You get the plastic wrapper/cardboard backing and save it or you just throw it around? Also what do you read and who's your fav artist?

used to collect them like 5 yrs ago then i grew up
i put them in a box and keep it all in the closet. I used to read Gen13 damn they were drawn hella sexy. Like reading playboy without the nudity.

yep, which is why I liked J Scott Campbell's art. :D I think it was about issue 10 or so when he stopped doing it regularly though it was obvious the art quality was beginning to suffer as time went on. It was really good for the 1st maybe 4-5 issues but started getting less and less detailed. No idea what comic he's doing now, if any, but last artwork I saw from him were just the covers, no pencils for the actual issue. I tried emulating his style (particularly drawing women) but didn't make em half as decent. :rolleyes Some people said they were pretty good but I guess the artist always sees what's wrong w/ the pic, not what's right.

Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee, Brett Booth all have consistently high quality art in all the issues i've read. Though Lee was getting alittle messy w/ some of the comics when he was doing the pencils for multiple comics.
