Whew, survived some more layoffs

My company did another round of layoffs today, from what I've heard the majority of our data centers nationwide are going to be closed down, except for mine and one in VA. It's looking more and more like NTT bought us just for our backbone and aren't interested in keeping the colo/hosting/internet access portions.

I guess I shouldn't worry, since I'm gonna win the lotto this weekend anyway.

Do you work for Verio by chance? If so I was about to set up a client I designed a site for with them. Do you recommend I hold off?

Yup. Are they going to be setup with just a webhosting package, or are you going to use their own servers in a colocation?
If it's just webhosting, it should be fine. Colo should be cool too, since there has been no official announcement that they are phasing out colo, it's just an office rumor.
