Hey ya'll! I'm newish to the bay and returning to the bike after many years off. Growing up, my dad and brother had hogs, dirt bikes and quads. As a girl, I was forbidden to ever ride on the street - but what daddy didn't know didn't hurt him! As the story goes, I always loved riding, fishing and sharpshooting more than my brother. After going cross country to college I traded my truck for a Camaro and became a city girl. :laughing

Many years later, I'm returning to my first loves; wettin' my rods (mostly deep sea/offshore), unloading ammo cans at the range and doing the CMSP in November. :love Also on my bucket list is superbike school (any info on that would be mucho appreciated)! I love camaraderie and being active in a community ie. riding for causes, education, public awareness, organizing social gatherings, etc. I'm looking forward to learning, sharing and ridin' with ya'll! :ride

Any east bay mentors?

Hey! Welcome! If you are interested in Superbike School, contact the American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) They hang out at Sears Point (Sonoma) Raceway. There are several women who race, you will make friends and find mentors

You might want to take an advanced rider's course if you have been away from bikes - never hurts to brush up those skills.

Completely agree - as much education as possible and one step at a time!

Good to have you join our community. Hope you find it fun, informative and something to share in for a long time.

Enjoy the CMSP experience... and...Many smiles with your miles. :ride

Hit trackdays to chat about Superbike School. It depends on whether you have a bike or you want to ride theirs. Feel Like Pro has a fleet of sweet little Ninja's that show up at a few trackdays. California Superbike School has rentals. My first experience on the track a few weeks ago was with them.. How many weeks between now and 1984..? about 1860 I think. ::laughing
