Our group stopped for lunch near the top of Old La Honda Rd westside. We spotted a wreck down in a ravine. Curious to know what car it is. Anyone?

Nope. That looks totally different

It has some resemblance, but I think it is later than 55. I am kinda stumped. May not even be American.

Reminds me of growing up, visiting a friend, we'd ride along some levees and there was a 60's panel van and a VW squareback dumped into the weeds that had been there for a couple decades at least. At the time, they were worthless, but they could probably fetch something even in their rusted hulk state. Tho, by now, they may have returned to the earth, or close to it.

Always wonder what the stories are behind these. Nothing good, I'm sure.

Probably want to match it with something that has a triangle wing window.

i think its just the trim bent down tho if you look at he end of the door its broken there. but that nash rambler has that smokers window and that rear window.

Oh I gotcha, the window frame, so one with no wing window. And larger fog lights with an external bezel.

I can't tell the size of it, no point of reference. I want to think it is bigger than the Nash
Wind wing is different over the 55 Vic and Nash

It's "Merican", and it's not a Nash. I'm still going with a Ferd, '52 to '55. :afm199
After '57 almost all US cars went to quad headlights. Two low and two high beam lights.
Here's a '52 Crestline Victoria, door handle, headlight and parking/turn signal buckets match up to the prime example provided. :laughing

I don't know who that car was, but he certainly pissed off the wrong guys, that is a lot of holes.
