Dear Friends,
Beginning today, hair salons and barbershops may operate indoors with safety measures in place under a new framework announced by Governor Gavin Newsom on Friday, called Blueprint for a Safer Economy. Also, malls may open with a limited number of shoppers inside, up to 25 percent capacity.
Those are the two key impacts on Santa Clara County under the State’s new four-tiered, color coded framework, which the County Health Department has signed off on. Nail salons and other personal services may continue to operate outside, along with restaurants, fitness centers and places of worship. All retail may operate indoors with limited capacity. Bars that don’t serve food must remain closed. All of that according to the Governor who has superseded our local County orders.
The new color-coded system replaces the monitoring watch list and ranges from purple, where transmission of COVID-19 is believed to be widespread, to yellow, where there is minimal transmission of the virus. Santa Clara County, and most of the State’s counties, are in the purple, the first tier. Click here to view a chart that shows the new framework.
The County will continue to work with the State for clarity in these orders and we will keep you updated with information. For questions, the County Office of Labor Standards Enforcement has an advice line at 1-866-870-7725.
Also, starting today, the public will be able to report Order violations and related complaints at www.sccCOVIDconcerns.org. This site will also connect residents and businesses with other resources, including the business call center and the webpages to submit Social Distancing Protocols and positive COVID cases at worksites. The goal is to provide aid and education to businesses that may be struggling to keep up with protocols.

Any places in the peninsula still doing tire mounting and balance? (Like same-day or something - I'm not waiting 3 weeks to get a tire done)

Only thing stopping me these days is that I still don't have an air compressor and there's a gas station a couple miles away that has one for free to use... guess I'll just swing by there and get all the tools out again. :( Hate doing it... so tiring.

Too faaaar - just do it myself... :(

Where you at? Catalyst Reaction has done same day while you wait tires for me, but then again I bought my tires from them so that may have influenced things. Pretty chill, I just scheduled a time, swung by and hung out on my laptop while they did the work.

I already bought my own. Catalyst Reaction was super busy whenever I last tried to talk to them. I think that was pre-covid but still, I don't get a feeling they'll have any more free time. Especially if I come in with my own tire...

I'd take the wheel off and all that too. I just want the tire part done because without a machine, it's a PITA.

Worth a shot, I've brought in loose wheels first thing in the morning and they've put on tires for me on the spot. In that case I hadn't ordered tires from them, but yeah they have been busy, which is well deserved.

MotoGuild on Treasure Island is open!

And I'm pretty sure Hayasa in Oakland is open. I've seen the garage doors open the few times that I've passed by, but I haven't taken my bike in for anything recently.
