I'd like it to show in new posts as it's my primary mechanic for reading the site.

BARF Militia was always in new post (though, yes, at least that was "obvious" about what it was about so it could be readily skipped).

3 of the first 10 results in my new posts this morning are from Shooting Gallery. I don't have any issue with having a subforum for this, but I come here primarily for Bay Area related moto discussion, and secondly for general moto discussion. "Gliding past" items that don't interest me becomes an issue when it makes up a significant portion of the list. Respectfully request again to remove this forum from hitting the "new posts" list.

Honestly, until this came up, I didn't even know that forums or whatever were not in New Posts. (Save for the Politics topic I guess, but only because i was around when it opened up and got locked down.)

So, for me, anything not in New Posts simply does not exist.

Don't know what I'm missing, only to say I can't say that I'm missing it.

I know in other forums with New Posts, I do, indeed, skip topics based on their forum. I don't just click on everything new, and specifically avoid those topics as I have no interest in them.

Unlikely I'm gonna be frequenting this subforum but every now and then interesting topics in subforums I don't spend much time in come around that I wouldn't know about if not using the new posts button.

There was a forum where you could tailor your own "new posts" search to look in certain forums, or to exclude them. And now that I look, this is the search I used to use here:

https://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=30&exclude=82

That does not work any longer, nor appending to the new search call.

Of course there is a back-end way to do it.
