Now stunting the twisties
I got to see the motorcycle show while i was in Vegas!...it was rad. My dad used to have a kawasaki H-2 triple...750cc two stroke :eek and they had an H-1 there so i got him a poster of it. But yea the Agusta MV in real life is insane...what a bike i would do anything for one...way better in person than in pictures by far....amazing

TECH SUPPPPOOOORRTTTT!!!!!

Holy cerapp was Vanilla Sky a trippy movie or what??? Watched it in the room last night in vegas trying to recover from Sat. night!

Earlier in the day went to see that show "the Art of the Motorcycle" at the Venetian (runs through 12/31/02). Now that was cool.

Had at least one guard trailing me at all times, it was hilarious. Hey, all I wanted to do was get a good look at all the machines, and never got closer than oh 1/1000th of an inch which is to say when you see these bikes up close you can't help but move in and smell the exhaust pipes ya know?

The lead in displays the earliest known motorized two wheelers - basically steam engined bicycles - but oh so interesting to see what their inventors were thinking. pedals. sectioned leather drive belts. friction brakes which simply press down onto the tire tread. and all totally handcrafted piece by piece.

There was a video tribute playing showing just how deeply motorcycling had become a way of life in the U.S. and the movies. Early stunters played a big role too and there they were in sometimes ancient black and white footage doing christs, wheelies, skitching, etc. Everything old is new again!

Met some people there and it was interesting to listen to the old guys, "I rode one of these during the war..." "BSA stands for British Small Arms originally..." I was most content to roam the exhibit solo though, reviewing the details of each bike to myself out loud and only half-joking motioned I was going to squeeze one of the claxtons. guards not amuse easily I guess.

What a golden age the past century was for motorcycling. Someday we'll all look back at these times and smile too :teeth

For me my favs were the Italian bikes esp. the Gilera's. I want a classy old bike now too :p

JTT - go see the 2002 Toughman Contest this weekend!

my dad used to have one of these scooters! it was a light blue as I recall. I was like 5 y.o. and
he would give us kids rides around and around the parking lot. miss you dad!
