Ttr 125 mini moto conversion tires

Hi all,

I got a 2000 ttr 125 that I want to mini moto on the kart track. Don't want to spend a bunch of money on lacing up new rims. Anyone have any advice for track tires for the stock 17 front and 14 stock rims? They are so narrow...

I raced against a TTR 125 with trials tires in the last round of Supermoto USA. You can use that for a sportmans setup.

I'm not 100% sure you might be able to use those chinese 12" wheels. I know for KX65s they use them.

I assume that rim set means you don't have an LE model. While this isn't a must, I HIGHLY recommend getting an LE Wheelset and upgrading to the LE forks. The front drum of the standard model will be severely limiting on kart tracks. That upgrade also gives you a 16/19" Wheelset and you can use BT45's, which are cheap and easy.
I run a TT-R LE with a YZ85 fork and rims built by Chris Quinn. They were less than $300 because we used 17" rear hoops from different dual sport bikes. Chris is super reasonable for spoke cutting and lacing prices when you supply the hoops.

Do you know what brand / sizes of trails tires ?

I'm not sure what tires they had but I have used Shinko Trials tires before on my Light Bee and did ok. The size depends on what wheels you have on your bike right now.
