The Wall a mess

My legs are still a bit sore. :laughing

Took the load to the dump since there was a lot more than I thought there'd be. Thirty bucks well spent, but they wanted another thirty bucks for the printer. :wtf
I left that in the back of my truck. :laughing

Pretty sure there's an electronics recycler in Concord that'll only charge me ten or fifteen to take it.

Sounds like I owe you a beer or coffee next time Kevin!!

Also, thanks to Soren for the coffee yesterday.

I'd be willing to pitch in a few bucks for the dump fees Mean Dad. You shouldn't have to pay. On another note, maybe another work party to refurbish the benches? They are getting pretty beat, missing boards etc.
Anyhoo, it was a nice way to spend a beautiful morning, made some new friends too.

Absolutely no need to pitch in for the dump fees. Once those bags are in my truck, they're my responsibility. :thumbup

I was really planning on filtering them in with my home and work trash but there was just too damn much! :laughing
Woulda taken a month or more.

Great job guys! Thanks a bunch!

It's been a very long time since I last visited the Wall. My last remembrance was when I was almost "at" the wall riding up when two LEOs on bikes were right behind me. I was doing a little "spirited" riding just a few turns before. I was was definitely busted. Pulled over at the wall and the two LEOs also pulled over. One in front of me the other in the back a few yards away. I dismounted and pulled off my helmet. LEO behind me dismounted and aggressively walked towards me, pass me and went to the LEO in front of me and gave him a "high five". I heard laughing and something about "you ditched my ass on the last turn". They too were enjoying the Berkeley twisties. They didn't even notice me or completely ignored me.

That was a pretty cool memory I had of the last time I was there

MeanDad, if it becomes a hassle, next time I see you I'll take the printer to the recycling place.

Wow, good job! I'm surprised you got that much trash. Did you comb the entire hillside?

You didn't leave us much trash up top except for cigarette butts, so it's basically your fault we had to walk up and down the hill. :x :laughing
But yeah we went down to the trees on the left, and the open rocky area on the right and tried to get everything we could.

Great job everybody! :thumbup

On electronics, any Best Buy is required to take and recycle all electronics devices for FREE because they collect electronics disposal fees on every sale of electronics! That includes all old TV's, printers, monitors, stereo's, etc. No receipt or proof of purchase required.

Thank you for making the Wall a nicer place for everyone to enjoy. I have never been there but will make a effort to check it out.

Now, how to get the guardrail fixed? You can't even sit on it now, its so collapsed.

I thought about that.
I pushed it back up, so it wasn't hanging over benches.
I can bring a post- hole digger and some quickcrete, and we can sister the existing post with a new post.
Could be a fun project on a rainy day.
Clearly the new post would need a BARF carving.
