The slow decline of Dainese

Is it just me, or over the last few years has Dainese's ability to marry fashion with functionality gone downhill?

1. The styles seem to get more and more lackluster - boring designs. And their retro jacket fashion choices have been awful for 2+ years (nothing compared to the 70's revival style seen in mid 2000's thru mid-2010's.

2. Materials seem to be getting cheaper.

3. Questionable functional choices for protection:
- D-air chest only jacket with a Lv1 back protector -- like, why is my back getting less protection?
- D-air full air-bag jacket -- again a Lv1 back protector (why??) and then a hard canister right at your lumbar. So if this device fails to go off in a situation then you have a hard canister cracking your under protected back (because of the Lv1 protector).

4. Questionable protective gear:
- Only selling Lv1 armor "upgrades" for jacket shoulders and arms. They've completely abandoned level 2 armor upgrades. And then they only put in Lv1 armor for most jackets (like rain gear) unless you buy the top end race jackets.

What do people think - am I off for thinking Dainese is losing its touch?
