Summary of 1/19 ride

It was COLD! We met at Alice's and rode 84 out to the coast. Cops and conditions steered us down Hwy 1 to Santa Cruz. Headed up Hwy 9 we were blocked by cages the whole way. Running a particular stretch a second time Instance low-sided. After ensuring he was okay the bike fired up and we rode home; Instance did so minus his left footpeg.

Didn't post at SB.N, but glad you're OK atleast now you have an excuse to stop riding long enough to replace your fork seals :twofinger Was this your first time going down?

Yep, first time going down, I tried to post on here last night, but a funny thing happened.......I COULDN'T GET ON........:D :D
Cbr Vixen and I just got back from Scuderia in SF looking for footpegs, but they dont have any in stock for my bike, so we're gonna head down to Road Rider today to look at some leather pants for her........I guess the fact that I came out without a scratch kinda made her a believer. I'll be back on the bike as soon as I get some pegs, Vixen actually wants to try stoppies.........so we'll see. I'll be good to go for another ride soon.

Ha ha! That's great that you'll be getting some leathers, Vixen. Now we just have to talk Port4mance into doing the same! :D

MStingray, I looked for aftermarkets, and the only ones that I like are the Targa ones, they're kinda pointy. I dont like the round looking ones, kinda plain.

Anyhow, no one has the Targa ones in stock and if I get them on-line they wont be here until next week, so I ordered OEM from Honda of Milpitas and will be there on friday.

Never like to see anyone go down but at least Instance came out lookin good. I've seen way to many people go down up there not to have full leathers, I guess it's still just the squid in me! :twofinger

Port4mance, thanks for coming along and doing all your squidly acts of squidliness!!!! It was sweeet watching you try different things when I was behind and in front of you. Cbr Vixen couldn't stop talking about how many wheelies you pulled. She was VERY impressed!! I think we need to bring you along for more group rides so we can have atleast one person who can do stunts.

*note to self* I WILL be like Port4mance one day.

Thanks for the invite, it was great fun. I think you and Steve where the only ones that didn't get to see a nice standup wheelie. Cbr Vixen got to see most of them, not always bad to be in the end of the line:D, but I did pull a decent one for Mstingray and ninja_rydr on the way out. I'm sure your guys skills in the twisties out way my squidlyness so it's all good in the hood. Maybe next time if there's not so much traffic I'll pull a christ and skitch off the side of my bike.

I'm thinking...I will be getting some leather bottoms...next month... I had no idea they cost so much.....again I was like :eek ....

:mad I missed all the fun... I'm not riding up front anymore! First I miss all the damn wheelies, then I missed a chance to run over Instance. :eek
