Street tires for KLX 250s?

I'm looking for street tires for my KLX 250s.

I currently have Shinko 244 50/50s on it which wander too much on the Bay Bridge rain grooves. I'm looking at Metzler Lasertec or Bridgestone BT-45. Any recommendations?

I have a set of Shinko E705's on my XR650L as my street tires. I've been quite happy with how they perform so far. Haven't tried them in the dirt. The best part was that I paid a total of $108 for both tires shipped to my home. Of course, I had to buy one new tube after putting them on, since I haven't quite perfected my tire changing skills yet.

I'm looking at Metzler Lasertec or Bridgestone BT-45.

I've run BT45s as sportsman tires on a couple of little bikes. They're fine on the pave.

Look for tires that do not have a longitudinal slot running down the center of the tread pattern, since these tend to grab onto and follow the grooves on concrete road surfaces.

What do you guys think about the BT45 "squiggly center line. According to Bridgestone, it's supposed to cancel out tracking the rain grooves:

I've had quite a few Bridgestone tires and all of them followed rain grooves. That one likely will too. Once I switched to Pirelli and Avon I was much happier with tire behavior.

If you've already made up your mind to get the BT45, just buy them. Don't listen to us. :x
