I dig it.

This bay area chain that did very well, sold out in 2016 or so, and then closed with COVID. The original owners bagged the name, license, and IP back and just re-opened the Ellis St (Moffett Field) store with the promise of more. Bring it.

Cool, the one in Santa Clara used to be my go to spot when working out of the south bay office.

They had some pretty awesome cookies. Don’t think that Santa Clara one is coming back though.

Never thought Specialty's was that special. We have one near our office and went often if I forgot to bring lunch.

Maybe they're different location to location.

I could be TOTALLY wrong but passing by yesterday I’d swear the one at Homestead and Lawrence looked open (or at least the old signage is still there).

Glad they are making a comeback, and yeah, the cookies were awesome. The sando's were pretty good, but I had issues with them.

- over and over I would order on line to save time, but when I got there they would say they were out of one of the ingredients and I had to choose a different bread or something and then I'd have to wait forever.. :mad

- Coming from years working in the restaurant industry and especially in the Sandwich making world I could not stand how they cut their sando's in half.. Cut that shit on the diagonal people! :teeth

Damn, now I can't stop thinking about their cookies...

Specialty's was in its heydey back when I was in the corpo world.

My association with them will always be "Yay, this lunch meeting is catered! Boo, it's specialty's! Soggy sandwiches and cookies that leave a grease stain!"

I've eaten a lot of their food, none of it with 100% willfulness. That said, I'm glad they're taking another swing at it.

The one in Oakland was a total dog. Great pastries and coffee from Peets, but the food was mediocre at best. I stopped eating there when I got a wilted salad, the manager was indignant about replacing it.
